This seems like a promising idea! I had no idea you could strip OOTP to run with just those bare esssentials. Unfortunately, it still crashed!
Here is an OBS capture of me creating the clean folder, loading it into OOTP and then advancing to the next day, only to crash at "Calculating Player Ratings"

This is the first reproduceable crash I've ever had in OOTP, as opposed to something like corrupted files (which I can recover from because I backup religiously).

Yes, it looks like you guys advancing to the next day and sending me the *.dat files is my only option at this point. Let me know what you need on my end to make that happen.
