Don't look now but Vancouver is in a playoff spot

Markstrom made 39 saves in a 3-0 shutout over Carolina and Bo Horvat and Tyler Bertuzzi both had 2 point nights as Vancouver now finds themselves sitting at third in the Pacific. It's true they are the beneficiaries of playing in the weaker division in the West - if they were in the Central they wouldn't have enough points to qualify for a Wild Card spot. It won't be easy to hold down third place with Vegas, Los Angeles, Anaheim and Edmonton all nipping at their heels but after last season's debacle and two and a half years of never being in this position it is still an accomplishment for this group of players.
