Today is the second game in the series in Philadelphia between the Orioles and the Athletics. The Orioles committed three errors in the eighth inning to blow a 5-2 lead in the first game of the series.
The Orioles placed SP Harry Howell on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 2.

In the bottom of the seventh, Davis put the Athletics on the board with a 350 foot two-run homer.
In the top of the eighth, McGraw knocked in a pair with a two-out single.
In the bottom of the eighth, Cross knocked in a run with a double.
In the top of the ninth, Pete Loos took the mound for the Athletics.
The two teams combined for 26 hits in the contest.
