We had perhaps our best month in July. Humbert was named AL BOTM, Buizer was named POTM & Trzashias was named ROTM. We are tied for most Wins in the EBL, although Alderaan has a better winning %. We have a slim lead over Willowbrook & Gotham City. I made several roster moves that should put us in a position to win the division and go deep in the playoffs.


I know RP Farani Nikolo is a fan fav and what he did his 1st few seasons, although in limited action, was fantastic. Injuries have slowed him down and while he still had a good ERA in July, he gives up too many walks and timely hits. He could come back up at some point but for now will go to Middleton, if he clears Waivers. RP Ralph Wiley will give us a LHP that can pitch great against LHB and very well vs RHB. He is also under contract for next season. Mark Ruiz will do well for Pontiac, probably in a utility role. i needed someone that could hit well vs LHP and backup SS. Eddie Hopewell can do both. SP Walter Johnson has struggled a bit since i traded for him 2 weeks ago. But as a general rule, he can go deep into games and hold runners, which is something 3 of the other 4 struggle with.DH Cedomil Buturovic, as I mentioned before will primarily DH but can play 2b. He is arbitration eligible after the season and it could be costly. For now he gives us a power hitting, high AVG, speedster hitting 5th vs RHP & 2nd vs LHP.


SP Henry Ramirez should come off the IL sometime in August. He will go to Middleton until their season ends. He will be 1 of the 5 players that will come up in September. the other 4 are up for grabs, though Murdick & Backhouse are most likely 2 of the 5.


Augusts schedule does not look overly hard, on paper.

No major complaints with the pitching. We signed Rooster, avoiding arbitration and although he only has 2 BS, he has struggled as of late.
