You either take it, or you don't. Also, as far as I can tell, you lose score for what you achieved in your current team, only results from your new team work. If you want to switch teams, wait until the 30th June, get your score, resign, sim to 1st of July /so next season/, then pick your new team.

I remember in EHM there a screen with jobs available of something like and AI teams would go some time without a GM. Sounds more realistic.
