My biggest issue with these types of players ending up on the trading block is that very few (if any) can afford to take on those contracts and therefore they don't end up finding a trade partner anyways.
My original questions was: how does being on the trading block affect a player performance? In OOTP Baseball the players morale will drop and the player can underperform (a lot of moving parts behind the scenes with how a player handles certain situations etc.).
Restricting the AI decision making may also cause greater issues to arise and perhaps the "easiest" solution is to leave it as is, but it also makes no sense for Dallas to have Miro on the block when he is one of the best Dmen in the league on a good team.
