Originally from the Detroit suburbs, and have lived in San Diego since 2014ish. A stop off in Chicago for 11 years (and Austin, TX for 1 year) in between.
I remember walking into a Dick's Sporting Goods here in SoCal and asking where I could find hockey gloves. They took me to their lacrosse equipment.
