In the top of the second, Schreckengost scored from first on a Dowd single combined with a Seymour throwing error to third.
In the bottom of the second, Bresnahan tied the game with a two-out RBI single.
In the bottom of the third, Ferris hurt his foot when Nops slid into second to break up the double play. Ferris remained in the game.

In the top of the fourth, the Americans loaded the bases with one out. Ferris put the Americans ahead with an RBI single. Cuppy grounded into the 6-2 fielder's choice for the second out. But Stahl got a two-RBI single to increase the Americans lead.
In the bottom of the fourth, Seymour got a two-out RBI single.
In the bottom of the sixth, Bresnahan made it a one-run game with an RBI single. The Orioles scored two more on a Nops two-out double to take the lead.
After six: Baltimore 5 Boston 4.
In the bottom of the seventh, Keister added to the Orioles lead with a run-scoring single. Donlin scored from third when Williams beat out the 4-6-3 attempt.
In the top of the eighth, the Americans loaded the bases with two out. But pinch hitter Harry Gleason grounded to first to retire the side.
In the bottom of the eighth, Frank Morrissey took the mound for the Americans.
In the top of the ninth, with runners at second and third and two out, Schreckengost lined to short to end the game.
The two teams combined for 26 hits and the Orioles committed 5 errors for the second straight game.
Final score: Baltimore 7 Boston 4.
