- Off/travel days were typically on Mondays (8), occasionally on Thursdays (3) or Fridays (3). In addition, teams were off on the Tuesday after Labor Day doublehheaders, Wednesday before Independence day doubleheaders, and on a mid-August Wednesday.
- Doubleheaders on Decoration Day (Thur, 5/30; resulted in a 4-game series), Independence Day (Thurs, 7/4; 4-game series), and Labor Day (Mon, 9/2; 3-game series)
