He's not actually any good. All the good QBs have long been snapped up except, arguably I guess, Cam Newton (who, frankly, is still just too big news; like, it sounds like he's not necessarily demanding he starts wherever he plays but he's so popular that if the Jets signed him fans would be demanding him to start from Day 2 and would be like "FIRE THE COACH" if they actually went a standard Zach Wilson week with him on the bench). Who else would they even sign? Colt McCoy? Jacob Eason (I will always rep him for being a UW Husky but the man couldn't even stick on the Panthers' roster this offseason)?

If there are good QB's, they are already on rosters. Like Parcells said, 1-800-Quarterback doesn't exist. You get a chance to draft a capable starter, you get him. You get him, you do what you can to protect him. You protect him, get ready to overpay him. You overpay him, try your best to master the bargain bin. That's the way of the NFL right now. That's the only reason the NFL needs to start a minor league of college age players. Cause the NCAA isn't developing QB's.
