IPA MIDSUMMER DREAM GAME SET FOR TURON TUESDAY
The best of the Boys of Summer will be in Turon at Typhoon Stadium this Wednesday afternoon for the 79th renewal of the Islandian Pro Alliance All-Star Game, pitting the top stars from the Ruthlandian Union and the Tycobbian Union.
It will be youth versus experience... the TU All-Stars are led by 36-year-old third baseman Zak Smalley of the Bayview Vikings and 33-year-old left fielder Charles Larson of the La Claire Lynx... they will be appearing for the 7th time in their careers... heading up the RU All-Stars are Waleska catcher Fritz Adenauer, who made the team for the 5th time... Valka catcher Alex Donelson and Elnora third sacker Ronald Bayless have been selected on 4 occasions.
Three rookies were honored...left fielder Mac Teale of the Eastshore Cotton Kings for the Ruthlandian Union and pitcher Bucky Crane of the Denton City Redbirds and center fielder James Lundin of the White River Rascals... Teale and Crane are the youngest participants at age 20... pitcher Gianni Caruso of Taranto and third baseman Zak Smalley of Bayview are the oldest at 36.
The Tycobbian Union All-Stars have dominated the IPA All-Star Game with a 50-28 lead in the series... the TU Stars have captured 3 of the last 4 games.
A HUMONGOUS THANKS TO TXRANGER FOR THE IPA ALL-STAR TEAM LOGOS... the game finally put them in the game after many years of failure on my part... as you know EC comes up short in the high tech arena... low tech arena, too... this year the AI put them in on its own... EC had stopped trying to install them years ago... I gave up.
