Anybody on your roster who is a DH-only type? Who can't field because he is too klutzy or old? Let him pitch in one-sided games, because anybody can field the pitcher position!

Well, whatever. I have reported this several times and nobody has responded, officials or clientele. Apparently this gets a collective shrug.

In response, I have done what I usually do in this situation with games that I like: rationalize! Of course, anybody with ANY defensive ratings at all could do well as a pitcher defensively, with a little experience!

[/I]!
I've bought and played ever version since v4 (2002) and imported my game every year to the new version.

Not seeing your pitcher fielding by position players in my game, screen shot attached. It shows my current OF that I only play at DH because of his poor range and my 1B that was my starting C (and a very good one). Yeah, at 1b he gets more PA and my current young starting C is amazing defensively.

What I do see is most IF have a high potential rating at P, not surprising. But not even they are all 8's. OF with good skill sets also rate highly, though that goes away if they are below average. I have a LF/RF that has 4 range on the 8 scale, 5 glove, 7 arm. His rating at P? Zero. I went through my entire batters list of my MLB team and found other OF and 1b only type IF that the P field rating was not high. It's interesting that my 1b/C has "natural" OF skills that are less than my LF that scores a zero at P, while he scores a 0/5. Must be getting some love for his catching skills, but that and his skill at 1b aren't enough to get to 0/8.

Not sure why you see it and I don't? I can only wonder is it something that comes with the 20/80 scale, and I don't see it because I'm 2/8? Doesn't sound right, but who know with code and how things can "sneak in".

As far as a collective shrug? Maybe like me, others aren't seeing it? Or maybe, like me, if they were throwing a position player in a game his fielding the position is the least of my worries? Take that with the humor that is intended, it's certainly not to disparage you for reporting an issue you see in your game. Hell, I would too if only because it doesn't look right and I would want to see it "cleaned up".
