This reminds me a little bit of the Cards' situation around a decade ago when Kevin Kolb got hurt early in the year and they started guys like John Skelton the rest of the way, except that they were forced into Skelton by injury, not direct choice.

You do need a QB to throw.....if your intent is to win. If it isn't, then having a WR behind center is ideal. My point is McCoy may indeed be horrible, but we can't necessarily say he was cut because he was the worst choice for the Cards chances to win. There could have been ulterior motives.
