National League Player of the Week
Pittsburgh Pirates 1st baseman Fred Tenney was rewarded with the National League Player of the Week honors for his outstanding hitting. On the week, Tenney went 9 for 18 (.500 batting average) with 4 Runs, 4 RBIs, 3 Doubles, 1 Homerun, and 1 Walk to finish with a slash line of .500/.526/.833 which resulted in a 296 OPS+ and 0.5 WAR. This is the first time that Tenney has taken home PofW honors.
