OK, so after a few relaxing days at home we are back on the move - next stop the Counts of Cleveland. No, not
that Cleveland - they have a city ordnance that only allows nicknames ending in "ians" - but the one in Tennessee, not far from Chattanooga.
Another short-lived franchise, the Counts played in the Appalachian League for just three seasons: 1911, 1912 and 1913. Sadly, by the end all was in ruins and the club was moved about 150 miles northeast to Morristown, where it was known as the Jobbers. The Manufacturers, who were Cleveland's next team about a decade later, fared even worse, not even lasting two years before folding. Tough crowd indeed.
