EC just learned an amazing fact about "The Big Train" Walter Johnson... after he died he won 3 more baseball games and struck out 11 more batters... yep, I know that's crazy... only Jesus rose from the grave... nope, Walter didn't rise from the grave, but he still won 3 more games and struck out 11 more batters after his death.

In his book titled "Walter Johnson: Baseball's Big Train" about his grandfather, Henry W. Thomas wrote with pride, "My Granddad was such a great pitcher that he won 3 more Major League games and struck out 11 more batters after he died".

Well now, pilgrim, that's really somethin'...how can that be?... simple, baseball researchers in 1946, several years after Johnson's demise, checked all of the box scores of his games and discovered that he won 3 more games and fanned 11 more batters... the new figures gave Johnson 416 victories and 3508 strikeouts... amazingly Johnson threw 110 shutouts... that is still the all-time record.

EC is predicting that Johnson's shutout mark will never be broken...yep, that's what I'm predicting.
