You can add stats tokens to the image file name.
e.g.
2023_topps_rc_[%SEASON1_AVG][%SEASON2_AVG][%SEASON3_AVG][%SEASON4_AVG][%SEASON5_AVG].png
The game will replace the tokens with a pair of dashes if the player has no data from that token.
So naming the above file as "2023_topps_rc_----------.png" will ensure the image only gets picked up if the player has no stats in the previous 5 seasons.
It won't work 100% of the time... It doesn't know that a call-up with 1 game played last year is still a rookie. Or if you have a player who's been in the minors for 5 years after previously playing in your league, it'll think it's a rookie again, but it works most of the time.
