The Chicago White Sox (49-79) wisely did not send Brickyard Kennedy out to the mound for a 3rd consecutive day, this time turning the ball over to Fred Glade who led the team to a 1 to 0 victory over the Boston Americans (86-42).

Glade (19-19) was outstanding, scattering 7 hits and 2 walks on his way to a Game Score of 75. Cy Young (21-9) pitched well but came up on the losing side of things, allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits and 2 walks; Game Score of 70.
