Sergei Bobrovsky on a massive five year extension worth $34.9 million. Bobrovsky's AAV will come in just under $7 Million.
Feb 5th, 2015 - The face of the Islanders,
John Tavares, will be with the team for three more seasons. He has agreed to a contract with an AAV of $5.45M. He has 53 points through 51 games this season.
Feb 9th, 2015 - Another extension to report, this time it is the Montreal Canadiens who have extended
Carey Price for another 5 years at an AAV of $7.51M. Price and the Canadiens are struggling this year - he has only thirteen wins and has a subpar .907 save percentage - but they make a big financial commitment to their 27 year old superstar.

Semyon Varlamov to a six year deal worth $33.54M. Varlamov has started 48 of Colorado's 55 games, with nine shutouts and 28 wins. His cap hit will come in at $5.59M per year.

Claude Giroux for six years. The deal has an AAV of $5.77M. Giroux has 52 points through 56 games so far this season.

Henrik Lundqvist cashes in with a four year contract extension worth $7.83M per year. The 32 year old perennial all star has pitched three shutouts this year and some consider him to be on the decline, but his .922 save percentage is in line with his last couple of seasons and clearly the Rangers believe in him.
Feb 26th, 2015 - San Jose has relieved
Todd McLellan of his coaching duties. To replace him and hopefully guide their club to the postseason they have chosen
Guy Boucher as their next head coach. Boucher's last head coaching job was with Tampa Bay in 2013. He has been signed to a three year contract.
