Just a quick recap of the team so far. Champions! is always nice. The team went 134-28 to finish with the second-best record in conference. Those pesky New York Knights beat us 5 of 6 during the regular season and ended with something like a 17-game winning streak and home field advantage. Despite this, we knocked them out in the Conference round and advanced to the World Series, which was a real nail-biter not decided until my DH Chuck Klein belted a solo homer in Game 7, bottom of the 11th inning. Very, very close series against another solid Rookie League team.
Hardware was also harder to come by than I'm used to in Rookie League. Robin Roberts went 25-3, 1.66 to nail down Pitcher of the Year, but there was enough talent elsewhere to take the rest of the conference awards. I also pulled in my expected 40,000 PP from Live Updates, and that got me Perfect Mickey Lolich to add to the rotation.
