The American League Player of the Week award was given to Detroit Tigers outfielder "Turkey" Mike Donlin. In picking up the honors, Donlin went 14 for 23 (.609 batting average), with 3 Doubles, 5 Runs, 6 RBIs, and 2 Walks for a slash line of .609/.593/.739, a 291 OPS+ and 0.5 WAR. This is the 2nd time that Donlin has won the PofW award.
