This team was fun to watch all year. One of my favorite LSU teams ever, and this from a dude who watched Ben McDonald, Chad Ogea, Mike Sirotka, Paul Byrd, Aaron Nola, and others take the mound. A dude who rooted hard for the bats of Joey Belle, Todd Walker, Aaron Hill, Lyle Mouton, Dr. Eddy Furniss, (Coach!) Blake Dean, D.J. Lemahieu, Alex Bregman, and others.

I love this team maybe more than I ever loved an LSU team.

Crews and Skenes - probably 1 + 2 in the 2023 MLB draft.
Gavin Dugas - a dude from my home town
Tre Morgan - one of the best defensive 1B I have ever seen and a contact hitter machine
Tommy "Tanks" White - a surprise transfer from my following but a great addition to the team
Cade Beloso - looks like a bro that would go to bat for his bud. Seems great to root for.
Brayden Jobert - a HR waiting to happen
Jordan Thompson - not always the most liked player but went to bat for LSU in the game that mattered most
The freshmen, Gavin Guidry, Jared Jones, and late-season Griffin Herring
The "Big Boys in the Bullpen," Nate Ackenhousen and Riley Cooper

I was with these boys on the radio or TV for every single game on the weekend and the majority of their midweek games. This season was definitely one of my favorites ever of a storied program since the late 80s.
