I have always heard and taken the advice to look for players with high work ethic/intelligence, but I have never fully understood what the difference between those traits are. However, I just read that work ethic is good for reaching one's potential, while intelligence is good for increasing potential. Is that the correct way to look at the traits?

If that is true, I could see myself drafting a low intelligence guy if his potential was through the roof, because his need to increase his potential anymore was not that important.

Work ethic seems important on anyone though with that understanding of the traits. The necessary baseline a player needs is a good chance to reach his potential, so, therefore, I think i would value Work Ethic more than intellignce, though in my games I have been valuing those traits similarly.
