Game 1: 8-2 W. WP-Bradley (2-1, 6 5 2 2 2 4). HR-Albies 2 (4), Franco (4), Caminero 2 (5), Wood (5). The series got off to a great start when Albies, Franco and Caminero hit back-to-back-to-back jacks in the first inning and the Rays rolled from there. All the homers except Albies' 2nd were solo shots.

Game 2: 5-2 W. WP-Orze (1-2, 5.2 6 2 2 1 3). A 3-run 5th broke open a scoreless game and Santana's 2-run single provided needed breathing room as the Rays won again. Edwin Diaz had to leave in the 9th trying for the save with back spasms but will be fine in a couple of days.

Game 3: 9-0 W. WP-Khattak (2-1, 8.1 4 0 0 5 5). HR-Albies (5), DeLoach (6), Luciano (3). Khattak took a shutout into the 9th but had to leave with two on and 126 pitches thrown as the Rays routed Boston and swept the series. Albies added a 2-run double as he and Luciano each knocked in three.

Team record: 12-13. We've moved into 2nd in the AL East, 2 1/2 behind Toronto as thankfully nobody is running away with things in the division. Next up: An off-day then we head to Anaheim to play 3 against the 16-9 Angels, against whom we took 2 of 3 about 10 days ago.
