This team is named after the WWI and WWII practice of painting ships in
dazzle camouflage. This helped to protect them by confusing U-Boats on the way from East Coast ports like Halifax to deliver supplies to Britain, and also looks amazing and unlike anything else. It's really worth looking through the pictures on that article, and there's a whole

Presumably dockworkers and painters at the Halifax docks formed this baseball team in 1917, I gave them an art nouveau type font for the period. The ship I traced is the
Olympic (sibling ship to the Titanic), which was painted in dazzle during the war and based in Halifax.
