The Action Baseball League ‘-rain delay-’ is a break from the normal ABL reporting to bring you extra side stories, stats, tidbits, and past events from Action Baseball League lore;
things you would usually see during a rain delay of a baseball game you were watching.

Today we show the overall statistics of the two conferences to date, through nine seasons 1972 through 1980, by division.

Denver (AW) won the first two conference championships including a grand championship in 1973.

Miami (NE) is the only team to have two grand championships 1974, 1978.

Atlanta (NE) and Phoenix (NW) lost in their attempts at a second championship:
Atlanta defeated Denver 1972, lost to New York (AE) 1976
Phoenix defeated Pittsburgh (AE) 1975, lost to Houston (AC) 1979
