The OP can give the specifics but having done this myself, understand that ChatGPT remembers things in the same thread. So, for something like this you'd need to type in all the factual data. When he came into the league, teams he played for, his career and postseason stats. If you mention particular awards or year by year things like particular season great performances (200 hits per year, 25 in wins in Year X), etc. the AI will remember all this. So, the first prompt is mostly context, and you'd type: Joe Blow was a Right fielder for Team X and he is retired after X years at age XX. and just keep typing all that stuff.

Lastly, you'd ask it for an AP Article or something to get the article about him. You can also ask it to "Add a quote from his long-time teammate X or from his manager Y". It doesn't even have to be a news article. It could be TV Reporter asking fans about it as they enter the park. Or the quippy, clever, wise-cracking Morning Drivetime DJ discussing him. Once it has the facts, you can ask it to generate anything.

Someday, if something like this could read the history of the game sim you were playing and grab all the pieces (including stuff like personality, etc.) it could be wildly immersive. Someday... Someday...
