We agreed to Minor League deals with three players: CF Greg Allen (2.5, 2.5), SS Willi Castro (2.0, 2.0), and SS Paul DeJong (2.5, 2.5). All come with MLB options and associated bonuses.

We also agreed to hire Aaron Adams as Bench Coach, George Arias as 3B Coach, and Rick Jameyson as Team Trainer.

In more exciting news, Scouting Director Will Ohman came across possibly the best pitching prospect I have seen in my career. 17 year-old Juan Oporto (0.5, 5.0) hails from the Dominican republic and features potential for four plus-plus pitches to go with 75 stuff, 70 movement, and 65 control. He already sits 92-94 and will be one to keep an eye on.
