Game Summary
The Dodgers sent a message in the 1st with a 2-run HR by Shohei Ohtani, a rude welcome for Cody Morris' return from the IL and playoff debut. Alex Bregman went back-to-back to make it 3-0, and two batters later, Will Smith hit a 2-run HR to make it 5-0, and another two batters later, Trea Turner hit a 2-run HR to make it 7-0...all with 2 outs. George Valera came back with a 2-run HR of his own, but it was looking bleak for the Guardians at this point as Shohei Ohtani came right back with a RBI triple to make it 8-2. Alex Bregman drove him in with a groundout, making it 9-2 Dodgers. The Guardians got another back with a RBI single by Michael A. Taylor, and two innings later, Luis Campusano drove in another run with a single. The Guardians played smallball to plate two more and make it 9-6, a valiant effort at this point in the series. Kyle Tucker came up as the tying run, but flew out to end the threat. The Guardians didn't threaten again until the 7th, when Michael A. Taylor faced down Brusdar Graterol representing the tying run with 2 outs, but he was easily disposed of by the hard-throwing righty. Raisel Iglesias clocked back in to record his second-straight 6-out save, and he got through the 8th before the Guardians brought the tying run to the plate with 1 out in the 9th. The Guardians once again failed to score, however, and the Dodgers completed the sweep in one of the most dominant offensive series' you will ever see to repeat as World Series champions. They made the Guardians' pitching staff look like a group of little-leaguers.
