The Miguel Sano saga continues. Watching this guy from year to year is so bizarre. Sano made it back into the starting lineup in 1986, playing mainly in RF for the San Diego Padres. Sano started 79 games in RF, 13 at 1B and 8 at 3B in 1986. Take a look at Sano's numbers at the plate. Dude has a 177 OPS+ Miguel has a career 1.001 OPS.
1987 rolls around. Sano is now being platooned at 1B with Emmanuel Rivera. Sano lost his ratings to play RF in the off season. Recalc is not this guys friend when it comes to fielding. Learns to play SS, be it badly, but forgets how during the offseason. Plays error free ball in RF over 81 games in 1986, grant it with a less than stellar zr, but forgets how to play RF during the offseason.
Guy needs to be a designated hitter.
