I can't speak for everyone obviously, but I'm always really fired up for this game at the start of the real baseball season and if certain problems that eventually get patched don't actually get patched until 100 games into the major league season --- that is a mega failure. By that time my Cubs are already out of contention and my enthusiasm for baseball has been greatly reduced, meaning I've already started to fade away from OOTP a little. So for it to not even be "playable" up until that point = BAD.

I personally think this year's game has been pretty darn good. The two issues that conern me arethe two-way player issue and some financial issues. The two-way player thing has been an issue for years, so it is what it is. But a lot of people seem to be saying financial issues make roster moves impossible 4 or 5 years in. I manage every game, so Im still in year 1, but this report is very concerning to me.... If the pending issues that we are waiting on a patch for don't require starting a brand new sim, that's fine. I can totally accept that given that my sim moves slow since I manage every game. But if I'm going to have to start a new sim to get the patched fixes darn near 25% of the way into the real baseball season.... that's just not good business.

Still waiting to see if the mods can confirm if the two-way player fixes and the financial fixes are going to require a new sim in order to take affect..... they haven't answered that question yet, which has me a little concerned.

I'd almost suggest releasing the game 2 months earlier than usual, knowing that the initial version is always filled with problems. That way maybe it can be properly patched up by opening day as oppsed to 100 games into the major league season.
