a chimera is a creature made up of different parts, like a megaplex made of different cities. Or an expansion franchise that replaced a franchise that moved, and then moved. The Chimera was also the monster defeated by Pegasus and Bellerophon, a symbol of Dallas. (I am rebranding after using the
Dallas Titans by ruwisc for many years)
It's nearly 2050 in my save, and this cursed franchise still has not won a World Series, I like the idea of them renaming themselves after a defeated mythological monster.
Also the Texas Rangers is a
terrible organization historically, and probably the next-worst remaining team name after Atlanta. The real team should rename itself immediately
