Ok, one month into my season update on what I am seeing with trades.

Trade frequency "average"
Evaluations are: 25/25/25/25/

With these settings there were 5 trades in April. I kept track of these in my "notes" section in OOTP. It's pretty easy as you can copy/paste from your news emails. Below is a copy/paste from my notes section. First entry I did manually before figuring out about copying from my news emails. After that I did the copy from news and, as you can see, edited out needless "filling" and added some comments. Basically all minor league player deals with some teams getting prospects (NOT top prospects) and others seasoned AAA players that could help now.

Looks pretty normal to me, and is encouraging since I am using the 4- 25's and average frequency. On to seeing how things go in May.

Quote:
April 10 = Trade #1. Minor league players for minor league players.

April 16 = Trade #2. Minor leaguers. AAA bat, SP prosp. for AA 2b, SP prosp. Good value both teams.

April 20= Trade #3. San Diego gets 31-year old minor league 1B Glenallen Ortiz (AAA 1b, marginal bat, could help from bench) and 24-year old minor league RHP Luis Estrada (slight cup of coffee chance) from the San Francisco Giants
in return for 23-year old minor league 2B Mike Givens (may make a bench someday).
Equal value for both clubs that will make little difference in the big picture.

April 24= Trade #4. Tigers get 26-year old minor league 2B Billy Flores, 35/40, from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for
23-year old minor league LHP Adam Sinski, 20/30, and 21-year old minor league 2B Cruz Esparza, 20/50

April 24= Trade #5. trade sends Colorado's 23-year old minor league RHP Shane Good, 20/30, (probably see a cup of coffee) and 24-year old minor league LHP Gabe Freedman, 25/25, 48 days MLB service to Seattle
Freedman, emergency start, back of bullpen
in a swap for 33-year old minor league C Tonio Muguel, 40/40, 2 yrs MLB experience. 4-3-4-6-5 Bat. 5-Catcher 8 arm. Servicalbe backup if needed at MLB level.
