The bases were loaded when Alex Robinson was walked. Mark Tice hit into a fielders choice that saw Sofka come home for the first score of the game.
The Raiders didn’t hold the lead long as the Oklahoma City Triplets came right back at them in the bottom of the 1st. Robert Ginder led off with a bunt that saw him make first base. Edgar Diaz hit a double to move Ginder to third. Steve Gill reached on an error that allowed Ginder to come home. Ivan Carranza hit a double that saw Diaz come home to make the score 2-1.
The lead changed hands again in the top of the 2nd. Manny Jaime led off with a double for the San Jose Raiders. Mike Lentz then hit a single that allowed Jaime to round third and sprint for home, beating the throw from centre. Hugo Arias hit a double that saw Lentz move round to third before deciding to go for it and power home. This gave the raiders a 3-2 lead.
The top of the 5th Saw the San Jose Raiders try to take the game away from the Triplets. Hugo Arias got on base after being hit by a pitch. He moved to third when Alex Robinson singled to right field. Mark Tice picked up a walk to load the bases. Scott ha came to the plate and hit the first ball he faces 402 feet for a grand slam home run. This put the Raiders up 7-2.
The bottom of the 6th saw the Oklahoma City Triplets start their attempt at a comeback. Edgar Diaz reached on an error to lead off. Diaz moved to second when Jason Grossklaus was given a walk. The bases were then loaded when Ivan Carranza was given a walk. Tolentino Vitor saw a wild pitch that allowed Diaz to score the other runners to move base. Vitor then singled to bring home both Grossklaus and Carranza. The score was now 7-5.
Going into the bottom of the 9th the San Jose Raiders gave their 2 run lead over to their star closer Seth Fiebelkorn. Fiebelkorn was not quite up to his usual standards as he gave a double to Wilson Lucero. He also gave a single to Robert Ginder. Kurt DeSalvo also got the ball away but hit into a fielders choice. This allowed Lucero home. Fiebelkorn managed to stay calm from all this and got the last batter to strike out and get out of the inning with only 1 run scored. This was save number 35 for Feibelkorn.
The 7-6 win for the Raiders saw them move to 62-61 on the year.
