The Denver Mustangs got the game going in the top of the 1st. Jose Villanueva hit a single to lead off. Villanueva was out at second when Edwin Reyes hit into a fielders choice. Firmino Bonita then proceeded to hit one 371 feet for a 2 run home run to get the Mustangs on the board.
The score remained 2-0 to the Mustangs until the bottom of the 6th. Enrique Huerta hit a single for the San Jose Raiders. He moved to third when Alex Robinson singled. Huerta then came home when a fly out from Mark Tice saw him tag up and come home without a throw against him.
The bottom of the 7th saw the San Jose Raiders get back on level terms. Mike Lentz led the inning off with a 362 foot solo home run.
Neither side could get the run needed to win the game in the regulation 9 innings so it went to extras.
The game continued through the 10th, 11th and 12th innings as both bullpens stayed strong against some determined hitting.
The winning run came in the top of the 13th when the Denver Mustangs managed to get something going. Jeff Hannigan got a lead off single. He moved to second when Jose Villanueva hit a sac bunt. Firmino Bonita then hit his second home run of the game to bring in 2 runs and give the Mustangs a 4-2 lead. This one went 354 feet.
The San Jose Raiders could not answer back in the bottom of the 13th and lost the game 4-2. This dropped them to 61-58 for the year.
