For some reason I could not get the colors/fonts working properly so for example the 1959 Red Sox were in red numbers on the jersey even though silvam14's jersey away for that year's Boston had them in the proper blue.

Solution:
1. I changed the colors folder in the default data to org_colors.
2. I created a new folder in data named colors (it will have no contents until step3).
3. I copied all of silvam14's .xml files at his v1.2/colors and pasted them into the data file named colors.
4. Then for a team like 1959 Boston at their settings/modify team colors, logos, textures, I pressed button Import colors XML file.
5. Find boston xml for red sox in the drop-down menu and click Import.
6. Auto-load for logos and home/away ballcaps, jerseys, and pants. The road Red Sox now should have the correct blue numbers.

Getting the colors xml's so the game uses them properly is the key. Maybe others do not have to go through what I did but at least I have a solution now.

When creating a new historical league. It imports the colors XML files automatically. It also imports them again around opening day each season. If you are installing the mod in the middle of a season. You will have to do what kcstengelsr outlined. Or import the whole league at once from the settings page
