The San Jose Raiders were at home in front of 32682 fans to face the Portland Kodiaks for the first of a 4 game series. Manager Mike Moore bought back his star players for the first game.

SP Ron McDonald

3B Mark Sofka
DH Hugo Arias
SS Enrique Huerta
RF Alex Robinson
CF Mark Tice
C Scott Ha
1B Manny Jaime
LF Mike Lentz
2B Armando Sandoval

The San Jose Raiders got off to a strong start in the bottom of the 1st. Hugo Arias got on base with a double. He then came home when Enrique Huerta hit a double. Huerta moved to third when Alex Robinson reached on an error. The bases were loaded when Mark Tice got a walk. Scott Ha then hit a fly out that allowed Huerta to tag up and come home. Robinson and Tice moved a base when Manny Jaime saw a wild pitch. Jaime then hit a single that allowed Robinson to come home. This gave the Raiders a 3-0 lead.

A 439 foot solo home run by the Portland Kodiaks Javier Mendez got his team on the board in the top of the 3rd.

The top of the 6th saw the Portland Kodiaks close the lead down to 1 run. John Davis led off with a double. He moved to third when Josh Antunez ground out. James Benbenek made base after being hit by a pitch before then being out on a fielders choice by Fernando Morales. Davis came home on that fielders choice.

Scott Ha restored the San Jose Raiders 2 run lead in the bottom of the 6th. He hit a solo home run 393 feet to make it 4-2.

The San Jose Raiders turned the 9th over to Seth Fiebelkorn and he got the Kodiaks to go down 1-2-3 for save number 33.

The 4-2 victory put the Raiders at 59-56 for the year.
