So I settled on the following rules for this year and next year's EDs:
- 40 Rounds, serpentine
- 16 protected players
- Auto-protect < 2 years
- Maximum 5 picked from any team
For 1961, after much deliberation, we protected the following players:
The purpose of this exercise is, of course, to allow the new entrants to fill their roster with the best players on offer. We know we'll lose some good guys, most likely early, but nothing can be done about that.
Surprisingly, they take more relievers than we expected or had planned for, and as a result we lose 3 CCs in the process - Vern Law, Roy Face and Dick Hall - along with Vic Power and Jim Lemon.
