The Mets were idle on Friday and concerned themselves with some light batting and fielding practice on the field before two more Marlins games on the schedule on Saturday and Sunday. The batters that were doing well, got tossed a few baseballs from a coach.

And Pete got a few baseballs put on a stick, then kept clonking the bat against the tee.

No no, Pete, you have to hit the baseball! The long thing against the round thing!

(Pete aims way over the ball, but flings the bat into the deepest part of the ballpark, scattering a flock of outfielders screaming in panic)

All Yankee runs scored in the fifth inning on homers by Aaron Judge, Gleyber Torres, and Jose Trevino. Of these three, so far the most homers on the season has…. TREVINO. With two. Has Judge been asleep?
