The San Jose Raiders were quick out of the block as they got the first run of the game in the bottom of the 1st. Hugo Arias hit a nice double to get on base. He moved to third when Mark Sofka got a wild pitch. Sofka then singled to allow Arias to come home.

Things then went quiet until the top of the 5th. The Ironmen got themselves into the game by using a lead off double by Antonio Falcon. Steve Gardner hit a single that he turned into a double while Falcon ran round third and headed home, beating the throw from left. Gardner did the same as Falcon when Jon Cox hit a single to make the score 2-1 in the Ironmen’s favour.

The bottom of the 5th saw the San Jose Raiders tie things up. Armando Sandoval worked a nice walk. Mark Tice then hit a triple that saw Sandoval move round the bases and come home.

The top of the 7th saw the Indianapolis Ironmen re take the lead. Ken Hague was hit by a pitch that saw him leave the game. Aguilar replaced him on base. J.J. Estrada then came to the plate and struck one 372 feet to take a 2 run homer and make the score 4-2 for the Ironmen.

The top of the 8th saw the Ironmen finally break the San Jose Raiders. Jerry Gasper got to second base after an error on his single. Joe Tworkowski was given an intentional walk. Cameron Christensen then came to the plate and punished the walk with a 345 foot 3 run homer to put the Ironmen up 7-2.

The game finished 7-2 to the Ironmen and dropped the San Jose raiders back to 53-52 for the year.

The trade deadline passed with a number of trades but nothing for the San Jose Raiders. In total the league saw 41 trades during the first seven months of the year of which the Raiders were only in 1 when they traded Manny Huerta to the Raleigh Beavers on the eve of the season starting.

The San Jose raiders now face a short trip down the coast to San Diego to face the Marauders of the Eagle Conference.
