That's more like it...
The Rays got even with Arizona, finally getting some offense in a 5-3 win. After three more scoreless innings the bats finally got going in the 4th when Tork and Mead went back-to-back with solo homers to erase an early 1-0 Diamondbacks lead. And although Arizona equalized in the top of the 6th the Rays fought back in the bottom of the frame with a big RBI double from James Wood off a lefty, followed by a 2-run Diego Cartaya single. Shane McClanahan was in fine form, and despite a late consolation homer allowed by Camilo Doval the bullpen did its job as well. So now we head to Arizona where John Swanda will once again try to snap out of his funk and give us an advantage in a couple days' time.
