There's a Windows beta of 0.8.5 available. Portable version only so it won't overwrite your existing installation.

Long story short, I was using two different libraries to handle font importing depending on where it was being done but they clearly were inconsistent in terms of what was erroring out. 0.8.4 consolidated down to one library which may be a bit too strict. I couldn't get the less strict library to work with the font folder, so this is using a third library to handle both. It appears to work, so take it for a spin.
