Strange that you are having an issue with this. I've been playing a fictional league and never changed any settings and it works just fine. I will say that when when I change pitchers, I put him in the spot near the bottom middle not in the line up. I always look at the left side where the line up is listed as to insert pinch hitters.
Hope this gets cleared up, im sure it's some kind of setting.
