Hard Mode enabled, I go through the same motions and Complete Trade will not work. I will need to submit, wait a day, and see what other players the AI will accept to complete the trade. Effectively this is the Make it Work button with a one day delay... except that the player has been pulled into a bait and switch.
Hard Mode effectively make the AI demand more talent in Shop Now trades than not having it enabled. This is indeed "Harder", but wasn't listed or talked about previously as part of the feature and seems like a miss that just results in frustration during play (for those who use Shop Now).

I can't see Hard Mode trading being a thing I would ever want to use. It's just an exercise in frustration trying to guess what the AI may or may not want.
For me, I just want an AI that is smart. Can we get a "Smart Mode" instead?
