The American League leading Detroit Tigers journeyed to Beantown in an attempt to fend off the late-season push of the Boston Americans.


Game 129: In a game that saw Detroit (84-45) jump out to an early lead, it was nice to see Boston (76-53) battle back to tie the game in the 7th inning. Unfortunately for the home crowd, the Tigers put up 5 runs in the 12th inning and this game was over. Doc White (23-11) picked up the win, allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 8 to finish with a Game Score of 90.
