Anibal Sanchez of the Atlanta Braves recorded his 2nd career no hitter today as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Binghamton Swallows 2-0 on the road at Harper Stadium. Sanchez fanned 12 batters in the game and walked just one to improve to 12-6 this season. Atlanta was able to score 2 runs in the 7th inning as Mule Haas hit an RBI double. Randy Winn drew the lone walk as Sanchez was not able to pitch the perfect game which would have given him 2 career perfect games.

It was the second no hitter of the Month for Atlanta as Bobby Mitchell no hit the New York Mets earlier in the month. Sanchez hurled a perfect game in 2028 against the Duluth Champions. Atlanta now has 5 no hitters with 2 each by Mitchell and Sanchez and one by Frank Smith. This was the 2nd time that Binghamton has been no hit with Henry Boyle accomplishing that feat in 2027 for the Milwaukee Brewers
