Manager Mike Moore made a change to the line up for this game. He bought Min-Kyu Yoo in as the designated hitter and moved Hugo Arias to first base. This meant that Manny Jaime dropped to the bench.
The game turned into something the San Jose Raiders could do without as it remained scoreless through the first 10 innings.
It took until the 11th for either team to get onto the board and it was the Raiders that finally cracked it. Hugo Arias picked up a single before a single by Willie Fontanez and then a failed pick off attempt of Fontanez with a throwing error by the pitcher saw Arias scamper home to score the first run. Enrique Huerta then hit a single to bring Fontanez home from second base.
This put the raiser 2-0 up and they immediately bought in set up man Jerome Montoya who pitched a solid bottom of the 11th to pick up the save and take the Raiders to 4-3 for the year.
