I save 3 times every year.
Preseason, end of regular season before proceeding to playoffs and at the end of the year.
Preseason in case i mess up a schedule, rosters or a league settings etc.
Season end in case in case i forget something before proceeding to offseason.
Easier than replaying a whole season.
Year end in case i mess something up in the offseason.
It may seem like overkill but when you start in the 19th century i can't count how many times ive found something i missed and had to go back.
If i had to restart every year from the begining i would never get anyyear simmed.
As far as almanac i understand it be easier than opening the game but i can't really think of anytime i would be looking at my league without opening the game.
