To address the original question without further wading into any debates, arrows call my attention to certain players. The ultimate decision to promote or demote is mine. I like having them, with all of those guys in the minor leagues I like that there something visual to grab my interest in players who might be ready to move up a level. There isn't enough time to pour over the stats and ratings of every player on every team. The arrow simply says, "Hey, check out this guy."
