When it succeeds it either removes 1 from the conflict number or if it's a clique it removes 1 member.
IMO it's pointless to bother with intervening. Being able to only subtract 1 unit per month (if it succeeds!) is so minuscule, especially when you usually have several conflicts and cliques at a time. I just ignore it altogether. Really wish you could turn it off.
